Divorces are not one-size-fits-all. Learn why costs vary from case to case.
The most frequent question we get from clients is “How much is this going to cost?” While I would love nothing more than to predict an outcome for my clients, there is no set answer.
Many variables can control the cost of a divorce. These variables can include the complexities of the case (i.e. the length of the marriage, the number of marital assets, liabilities, and whether there are children involved), whether the case will be disputed and how heavily the parties may argue. If the parties continue to disagree on every stance, the case will likely be prolonged, and will likely result in a higher cost. Thus, the outcome cannot simply be predicted.
That said, there are plenty of ways to make your divorce more cost effective. If you have questions about the typical process, hourly costs, monthly costs, total costs contact a family law attorney who can help.
